An Italian economist with a PhD in Economics, Alessandro Santoro is a full professor of public finance at the University of Milan-Bicocca. With over 25 years of experience advising the Italian government on tax policy and administration, he currently chairs the Commission on Tax Evasion in Italy. HIs work has also involved leading key projects within the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Additionally, he contributes to international initiatives, including roles with the IMF and other global organizations.
